We've finished all our gift wrapping tonight... oh! thanks God. We did it in our little studio, and Alanna loved it a lot. She was everywhere, whenever she saw me or daddy cutting papers, she's off, sat right on the paper and whack it all up! Well done hehehe and ribbons are everywhere too as it tagged along on her bottom. She's so funny. She kept on closing and opening the fridge door. Daddy couldn't think of anything to keep her busy and away from us doing the gift wrapping until after dinner, we're off to the studio again. Daddy brought her rattles, colored balls and boxes inside the little fridge. There she's busy taking it all off and putting them in again hahahaha By 9pm she's knockered! oh so tired and snoozed quite quickly. Oh hang on, she's winging. I gotta go .... Merry Christmas everybody!

Christmas time
I'm sure everyone is ready for Christmas, but I'm not. I haven't done my Christmas shopping - which is seemed to be the most important part. Probably this weekend I aim to have at least spend a penny for the sake of the season. He'll be away for the weekend to spend time with his friends (I allowed him as he worked so hard this year and I think he deserved it). I'd like to do some shopping nearby with my baby in tow. Hopefully she'll be good, fingers-crossed! Well, I still have no idea what to give to my in-laws. I'm running out of time now, oh dear! as what my dad-in-law says hehehe
Well done to my husband, he managed to put the Christmass tree up tonight with my help anyway... It was nice, we just had an artificial one from Tesco. As much as I would like to, we'd love to have the real tree but because my little girl is now crawling and cruising, and she's all over the place it's not safe anymore to have real tree. Pine needles are a bit sharp and I'm worried that she might swallow some. In fairness, the tree was much better than we thought. It just need finishing touches and that's done.

Filipino Festival
My mum-in-law sent me text message that there's a Filipino Festival on the 11th of December. She is really thoughtful. And thinking that I might be interested to come to this one. Well, it might be good to see other kababayans but I am a little bit hesitant. We've been to one before but we found it rubbish, don't get me wrong but that's true. I thought it would have been very nice to meet people from my country but not everyone is keen to meet you. That was when I first came here and of course, like everyone, would like to meet people from Philippines too. My husband found that most of them are a bit "snub" to his surprise. Which is true, in my own experience too, I meet a lot of Filipino but they will only stares you from head to toe! And we ate bihon, rice and fish... he wasn't empressed at all and wanted to get his money back hehe! Bihon taste nice (with tinapa on it), a bit dissapointing though because it's all bihon and a little bit of tinapa flakes and that's it, ang mahal pa! There was a karaoeke contest as well, which brought some memories back home... Maybe it's nice, but I had bad experience that I don't want to have anything to do about Filipino festival anymore. I might try to go again this time if my mum wants to go. My in-laws are more keen than I am hehehe as they wanted me to feel at home all the time ;-)

Working Mum
It's been 2 months since I'm back at work, and it's really great. I love having my career and bring up my family at the same time. It feels fulfilling to have a career, and I think it helps new mums to keep their sanity intact. At first it's not that easy being separated from your little one but in time it gets better and better. Also, it's not only good for you but most importantly, it's more beneficial to your baby. They will learn to interact as such a young age, and gain confidence to learn to the invironment. I find this site very helpful and they've got every mum needs.
My little one has grown a lot in terms of her social skills are concern. I can see her confidence and you can see her own character now. She is really entertaining and everyone loves her a lot. She said some odd words too which I find it funny. When I first took her to the office to meet my officemates, she was barely 4 weeks. She was so tiny back then but the second time I brought her in, oh they all love her. I was a bit embarassed as everybody gathered around my table to meet her and she was a bit shy, and weary of who are these people. They all love her I must say.
